Crafting Wednesday at Caretta Eau Claire brought out everyone’s creative side as our residents practiced watercolor painting together!
From delicate florals to colorful designs, the talent around the table was incredible to see. We love creating opportunities for residents to relax, socialize, and express their artistic talents in fun new ways. 🎨✨

We had a fantastic turnout for our recent Downsizing Presentation with Caring Transitions of the Chippewa Valley! Residents and guests gathered to learn helpful tips, ask questions, and gain valuable insight on simplifying the moving and downsizing process. Laughter, friendly competition, and plenty of fun filled the room as our Memory Care residents at Caretta Eau Claire tested their aim in a creative nerf gun cup challenge! Residents earned points every time they knocked over a cup, thanks to a fun game idea created by our wonderful volunteer, Carol.
Volunteers help bring so much joy, creativity, and connection to our community, and we are always grateful for the time they share with our residents. If you’ve ever considered volunteering, we would love to welcome you to Caretta Eau Claire!

A little taste of tradition made for a wonderful morning at Caretta Eau Claire!
We enjoyed delicious breakfast kolaches from local favorite Bohemian Ovens while learning about the rich history behind this beloved pastry. From savory sausage, egg & cheese to other breakfast favorites, everyone had fun sampling the different flavors and sharing smiles around the table.
Safe to say this won’t be our last kolache day — there are still plenty of flavors waiting for us to try next time!

Dawn consistently goes above and beyond in her role as a Resident Assistant. What a memorable moment at Caretta Eau Claire! The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Trombone Ensemble stopped by to serenade our residents with a special outdoor performance. The temperatures had us thinking creatively — so we cozied up inside and enjoyed a front-row window view while the talented students played outside!
Our residents absolutely loved every note. There’s something truly magical about the connection between generations through music. A huge thank you to the UWEC Trombone Ensemble for bringing so much joy to our community!

We had the pleasure of welcoming Al Thompson from the Center for the Blind to Caretta for an insightful presentation on visual impairment.

🍓 Smoothie Day at Caretta! 🍌
Our amazing residents got to try something new — smoothies! For many of them, it was their very first sip, and the smiles say it all. 😄
We blended up some delicious creations while learning about the wonderful health benefits packed into every cup — from vitamins and antioxidants to easy-to-digest nutrition. Who knew healthy could taste so good?
