Lisa from Empowered By Movement recently got us in the mood for Valentines Day dancing to lovely classics like ‘L.O.V.E.’, ‘That’s Amore’, and ‘Cupid’. Her visits always leave us feeling extra happy and youthful- we don’t even realize we’re exercising!

We had a sweet time decorating heart-shaped cookies for a special Valentine’s treat. Our frosting masterpieces were almost too pretty to eat, keyword being ‘almost’. 😉 It turns out creativity is the secret ingredient that makes cookies truly delightful, who knew? ❤️🍪

Resident Olympics Day Four: Snowball Shotput ❄️💪🏼
Ready.. aim.. FIRE! Muscles were put to the test as we launched snowballs into a basket at varying distances. The looks on our faces show the concentration it took to propel the snowballs as far as we could. Talk about fun! 😄

Resident Olympics Day Three: Seated Hockey! 🏒
Pool noodles came in handy again today when we took to the ‘ice’! Team Blue and Team Purple both put up a great fight; each team scoring lots of goals. In the end, Team Purple skated away victorious. 💜⛸️

We took on a little throwing today! Pool noodles served as our javelins and elevated rings were our targets. It proved to be a challenge, but a little competitive spirit got us through! 🤝

Resident Olympics Day 1: Curling! 🥌💪🏼
We put our own spin on curling by rolling snowballs to rack up points. Our top score was 4, proving that curling isn’t as easy as it looks and that we should probably leave it to the pros. ❄️🧊

We became master chefs👩🏼🍳 and created our own mini pizzas with English muffin crusts and a variety of yummy toppings. The best part was eating our creations after they were cooked! 🍽️

Balloon volleyball never disappoints around here! 🎈Well, until the balloon gets stuck to the ceiling, that is! 😉
This fun game is great for getting circulation going, increasing mobility, practicing hand-eye coordination, and provides light aerobic exercise. It’s also a sure fire way to get lots of laughs!

Right at Home joined us for a delightful tea tasting where residents learned about the different leaves used in teas and sampled three unique blends. After ranking their favorites, “Passion” steeped to the top as the clear winner! 🏆 Great conversations, new flavors, and a cozy way to sip and learn together!
