Residents were ‘whisked’ away to tour the kitchen during this month’s Food Committee Meeting! 🍽️
Tom, our kitchen manager, and Dani, our night cook, were able to walk residents through the space to explain what they use each part for and how the logistics of each meal work. 🧑🏽🍳
Seeing the behind the scenes of all the hard work that goes into prepping and plating each meal helped everyone appreciate our wonderful kitchen staff even more! We even got to see some desserts being prepared 🍪🍰 what a special treat!

Tom & Food Staff: Thanks for implementing the suggestions residents and families have made for Memory Care side of facility. The staff are so kind to the residents. Remembering their names is so helpful to their well-being and care. The new meal ordering at the table and regular plates brought to the table really give individualized service and better presentation. 😘🌷🩷

Caretta resident, Romie K, was recognized in a very special way last week!
In 1945, the Lena High School boys basketball team played their way to the state championship. Romie, pictured kneeling on the right, was a bit part in the team's success!
Fast forward to this year, and you'll find the team is back at the state championship! The biggest difference? This year's team had to play much more difficult teams to advance to this prestigious ranking. Romie was honored at the Jan. 30th game as one of the two remaining living players from the 1945 team. Way to go, Romie!

Our residents got 'all shook up' to celebrate Elvis Presley's 90th birthday! We made his favorite treat- peanut butter and banana sandwiches- while reminiscing on some of our favorite memories. Some of our favorite Elvis songs are Jailhouse Rock, In The Ghetto, and Burning Love.

We’re all still trying to figure out the secrets to the Mischief and Magic show that joined us for happy hour on Friday! Some of our favorite tricks include ‘sword swallowing’, balloon animals, fitting inside a balloon, and even a sword through the neck!
