Caretta Bellevue is located off I-43 and Manitowoc Road, making it easy for friends and family to visit. This central, urban location offers a serene setting while being close to retail, airports, and healthcare.
With plenty of luxurious gathering spaces, our community is welcoming for residents, families, and friends. We also provide social programming to help residents form new and lasting friendships.
And we’re off! 💪🏼 We’ve officially begun working on some of the projects that will be on display during our Resident Art Show on March 5th.
We’re excited to showcase a variety of art styles- including these dream catchers that helped with fine motor skills, problem solving, creativity, and self-expression.

Staying active—even on a chilly day! ❄️💪
Even on a chilly day, we had a great turnout for for exercise this morning! We boosted circulation, strengthened muscles, improved balance, and lifted moods. A little movement goes a long way toward staying healthy, independent, and energized all winter long.

Today’s scenic drive took us on a bit of an adventure! 🚐
We took off from our parking lot, and our residents picked the route from there! 🚦 Their directions brought us to some country roads where we saw horses, cows, some new construction, and kids getting off the school bus! It was certainly a fun twist on an otherwise relaxing drive!

Our residents put their courage to the test with a senior-friendly Polar Plunge, dipping their hands into ice water and seeing who could last the longest. 🧊
With a three-way-tie, the winners got major bragging rights! Their tips? Just imagine you’re on a beach or enjoying fresh baked cookies to keep you warm! 🍪🏖️

Learning that no two snowflakes are alike—and neither are we! ❄️
Our residents enjoyed discovering how snowflakes are formed and then put their creativity to work by designing their own one-of-a-kind snowflakes. A fun blend of learning, creativity, and wintertime joy!

While we offer a monthly calendar full of scheduled activities fo challenge and engage residents, we also have groups that meet independently to pursues their own interests! 🧠🤗
Our Bridge ladies meet on Tuesday mornings, our Domino ladies meet Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, and our Poetry Pals meet one Saturday a month. ✏️🃏 🁅
These groups are completely resident-run, and offer residents an opportunity to make new friends while doing an activity they enjoy.

We celebrated what would have been Elvis’ 91st birthday in true King of Rock ’n’ Roll style! 🎸
Residents enjoyed his favorite peanut butter & banana sandwiches 🍌 and root beer floats 🍨, sang along to classic hits, and had a blast playing Finish the Elvis Lyric. 🎶🎙️ Lots of laughter, great memories, and plenty of hip-shaking fun—thank you, Elvis, for the music that still brings us together! 🕺🎶

We loved partnering with our local police department for Coffee with the Cops ☕👮♂️
Our residents enjoyed meaningful conversations, hands-on experiences (including trying to carry a 25-lb duty vest!), and learning firsthand about the equipment officers use every day to keep our community safe. 👮♂️
Officers Van Egeren and Schley shared insight into the three biggest challenges facing our area—mental health, drugs, and violence (though they say we shouldn’t be worried because they’re here to keep us safe!). They even compared their role to something were familiar with- triage! They’re the first to arrive on the scene and determine the best way to help each situation. It was an informative, engaging morning that built understanding, connection, and appreciation for those who serve our community. We can’t thank you enough for coming, officers! And thanks for keeping our community strong 💪🏼

Most of our residents hadn’t, which made making this tasty treat even more fun! In true puppy fashion, everyone was ‘begging’ for more when we were all done measuring and mixing. 🐶 Yet another sweet moment of community and connection here at Caretta!!

We had a surprise visitor today! 👶🏼 💕
Our Life Enrichment Director, Hannah, brought her 8-month-old son Murphy to say ‘hi’ and the smiles were instant! Babies have a special way of brightening hearts, sparking memories, and bringing comfort—our residents absolutely soaked up every giggle, cuddle, and curious look.
And yes… there may have been a surprise diaper change along the way 💩😆 Proof that even the messiest moments are still full of joy!

Santa made his list and checked it list twice. It turns out everyone at Caretta is on the NICE list! 🎅🏼
Our annual Caretta resident Christmas celebration brought smiles to every face. Each resident opened their gifts and had a chance to visit with Santa and their friends. We’re so grateful for the community spirit that makes Caretta feel like home. 🎁✨

Uh oh! Rudolph played some reindeer games on our residents today! 😉
Rudolph disguised some of his favorite foods, and we had to guess what they were! Some of his top picks were carrots 🥕(of course!), apples 🍎, sweet potatoes 🥔, pear 🍐, banana 🍌, and even turkey! You can tell by the pictures that some foods are better left for Rudolph!
