A little soap and a lot of love on day 4 of National Assisted Living Week! 🫧💚 We gave our walkers and wheelchairs a good wash because the things that help our residents get where they’re going deserve a little TLC, too! ✨

💇♀️ We’re looking for an experienced, patient, and reliable hairdresser to join our Caretta family! Our residents truly enjoy their time getting their hair done, and this is a great opportunity to build connections and bring a little extra joy to their day. ❤️

Day three of National Assisted Living Week featured a Farmer’s Market brought right to our building! 🍑🍞💐
Our market was filled with fresh fruits and veggies, homemade breads and baked goods, flowers, pumpkins, jewelry, and so many other goodies. Everything was donated by amazing members of our community and was completely free for residents to choose from.
A huge thank you to everyone who donated and helped make it happen. The smiles, full bags, and conversations afterward said it all — and we’re still hearing about everyone’s favorite finds! ❤️

Day two of National Assisted Living Week brought a bright twist to a resident favorite- Glow in the Dark Bingo! The lights went down and the glow sticks came out for a fun afternoon. 🌟🎱

Who knew a giant pair of pants would bring so much laughter?! 😂
The viral ‘granny pants’ game made it to Caretta and the laughter was contagious! 👖 Not sure if it was more fun tossing the ball, or watching from the sidelines. Either way, it’s safe to say that we will add this fun to our rotation!

We kicked off National Assisted Living Week by sharing wedding pictures and hearing the special stories that went along with them. 💍❤️
It was wonderful to get a glimpse into who our residents were long before they walked the halls of Caretta- seeing the younger versions of them, hearing about their weddings, and learning little pieces of their stories we may not have known before. One thing is for sure, there was a whole lot of love in that room!
A pretty special reminder that everyone has a whole story that came long before we met them. 💕

Aaand that’s a wrap on Fall Fest! ☀️🍂
Man, this year was one for the books! We welcomed families and neighbors to our community for an afternoon of sunshine, fun, and fundraising!
Horse-drawn wagon rides never disappoint! 🐴Live music got our toes tapping and singing going. 🎶 Pumpkin treats put us in the mood for fall. 🎃 And THE DUNK TANK! So many laughs and lots of splashing all for a good cause. We were able to raise over $100 for our Walk to End Alzheimer’s team- a cause near and dear to our hearts. 💜
But our favorite part about the afternoon was seeing so many residents, employees, families, friends, and neighbors enjoying the day together. That’s exactly what days like this are all about!
Don’t worry if you missed out on the fun.. Halloween is right around the corner and we’ve got something up our sleeves! 👻🎃

A little mystery made bingo even more fun! 🎁 Our residents played their usual game, but this time every prize was wrapped up, so nobody knew what they were taking home until they opened it.
There were sweet & salty snacks, personal care favorites like toothpaste and hand soap, and some fun fall decorations tucked inside. The best part was seeing everyone’s reactions as they unwrapped their prizes—sometimes the mystery was just as fun as the win! 🍂

Today, we remember those we lost on 9/11, honor the brave first responders and everyday heroes who stepped forward to help, and remember how our country came together in the days that followed. 🇺🇸

Nothing says ‘birthday celebration’ quite like root beer floats! 🥤🎂 Our residents enjoyed a sweet afternoon treat to celebrate the birthday of Hannah, our Life Enrichment Director. Lots of smiles, good conversation, and plenty of whipped cream made for a fun little birthday social!
A few clues to guess how old Hannah is:
🎈 in Fahrenheit, the freezing point of water
🎉 the number of teeth in a typical adult human mouth- including wisdom teeth
🎂 the number of seasons multiplied by 4, then multiplied by two

Whether with ice cream or popsicles, we ‘chilled out’ with some seriously tasty treats this afternoon! Talk about a great way to beat the heat. ☀️
Huge thank you to The Cool Bus for their monthly visits during the summer! It was truly a highlight for our residents and we’re already looking forward to next year!

A little independence goes a long way! 🛒
We enjoyed a trip to Woodman’s, picking out some of our own groceries and taking our time browsing the aisles. Trips like this give residents a chance to make their own choices, get out into the community, and enjoy an everyday activity on their own terms. 🤍

Apparently blue was the color of the day! 💙 More than a few of our care staff arrived in matching blue scrubs- even more than pictured! Great minds really do think alike!

Pressed flower mason jars gave us another opportunity to get crafty! 🌸🌺 Once the mod podge dries, they will be beautiful decorations for our rooms.
We already have plans to bring this one back since a few residents were unable to join this time!
