This new community is located at the intersection of SR-35 and HWY-53 in the fast-growing, vibrant Seven Bridges Corridor. Caretta Holmen’s location is convenient for friends and family to visit and boasts scenic views of river bluffs and nature preserves.
With plenty of luxurious gathering spaces, our community is welcoming for residents, families, and friends. We also provide social programming to help residents form new and lasting friendships.
We had a Library presentation with Ashley. 📚
We learned about the great resources and programs the Library has to offer.
One of the resources Ashley talked about was an ap called Libby. It allows the residents to be able to listen to audiobooks or read books on their personal devices.
Most of the residents are also getting Library cards and can’t wait for our next outing to the Library!! 💳

Cheeseball fun at Caretta.
Staff and residents were having fun trying to get as many cheeseballs to stick on the shaving cream cap.
Some of the residents decided to eat their cup of cheese balls instead of play the game.

We had a beautiful day for an outing! We ventured to HD Drive-In in Holmen to have ice cream!
The residents were so excited to go to their favorite Drive-In place to have ice cream treats, burgers and fries and of course root beer!
Some reminisced about how they used to go there many years ago, where they always had great service and yummy treats!!

Spontaneous Bingo Day!
Our pontoon outing was cancelled due to nasty weather so we decided to play Bingo!
The resident’s were pretty excited about playing Bingo. It is one of their most favorite activities to do!!

We had an exciting day with Sheryl today!
She brought supplies to make a cool newspaper pot.
The things you can make out of recycled materials is endless!
It was a little tricky getting started but the end product was very cool!
The residents enjoyed trying something new and interesting!
Thank you Sheryl!! You’re an amazing woman who dedicates your time for our residents!
She always comes up with new and interesting ideas using recycled materials.
The residents look forward to crafting with Sheryl day!!

Balloon fun at Caretta in Holmen.
Staff and residents enjoyed a game of “Balloon Toss”.
Instead of morning exercise the staff changed it up and decided to do a game of balloon toss!
What an excellent idea!!
The residents had so much fun and their smiles were priceless!!
Laughter could be heard throughout the building!!

What a great day for a pleasure cruise on Lake Onalaska!! All thanks to nasa ( Northern American Squirrel Association).
We seen so many fish jumping out of the water and osprey swooping down to catch one.
We seen the weeder out on the lake, ducks, seagulls, pelicans and an Air Force C130 Cargo Plane!!
A huge thank you to Captain Jim and Captain Kristine in training for an amazing experience!

The Great Greg Grokowsky entertained the residents at Caretta in Holmen!!
His music flows from his guitar and his voice carries through the halls rousing the residents from their afternoon slumber.
The residents love to sing along with Greg. You can see the merriment on their faces as they sing, hum and clap along.
Thank you Greg for always bringing cheer to our residents!

Playing bingo with my residents at Caretta Senior Living in Holmen is such a joyful experience. It’s amazing to see their faces light up with excitement as they mark their cards and cheer each other on.
The laughter, friendly competition, and shared stories create a warm, connected atmosphere that makes every game special.
Moments like these remind me how meaningful it is to bring fun and companionship into their day.

Sassy Cynda’s Music was entertaining Holmen Residents at Caretta!

An absolutely hilarious and fun game of Granny Pants.
The residents had to get the most balls in either the blue or pink Granny Pants in a minute or less. Many rounds of this game were played.
Staff and residents had a blast playing this game!!

The residents at Caretta in Holmen absolutely love cheesecake!! ❤️
They had a great time talking, mixing and sharing their favorite flavors of cheesecake.
However, we didn’t get a picture of the end product because the cheesecake was gone before we remembered to get a photo!

The gardens at Caretta in Holmen are taking over! We can’t believe how big they are. The Marigold plant is huge!
The residents are out by the garden many times throughout the day picking the veggies, watering, weeding and of course eating the cherry tomatoes right off the vine!
Some residents just enjoy sitting by the garden and watching the plants grow!
It’s all the love, care and hard work that makes our gardens so special. ❤️👩🌾☀️🪴

Abbey Lane graced us with her beautiful voice at Caretta in Holmen.
She also brings shakers for the residents to play along with her songs.
The residents love being a part of the music! Some were saying they feel like they are in the band with Abbey!!

We had the pleasure of listening to Dave Kenworthy! He is a new musician that performed for our residents here at Caretta in Holmen!!
Not only did he sing for our residents, but had them play instruments as well. Some even danced to favorite “oldies but goodies” songs!! The rest clapped and sang along!!

What an absolutely beautiful day for a little trip to Elmaro Winery!
The residents were very happy to have a gorgeous day to enjoy some wine tastings and they have the best alcohol free wines for those who cannot have alcohol and feel included in the special day!
They also have local bread, meats and cheese trays to enjoy. Which we enjoyed as well.
The staff at Elmaro was excellent and provided great service.
