1950s tunes filled the air, accompanied by French fries and an assortment of creamy malt shakes, offering a nostalgic escape to the past.
Elvis classics played while patrons discussed his enduring legacy. Everyone seemed to be having a wonderful time, savoring the fries and shakes and good music. 🧋🧋🍟🍟

We began the day with a morning stroll around the grounds, stopping to admire the flowers. Conversation and walking are a hallmark of life here at Caretta in Holmen! We also value taking moments to stop and smell the flowers! 🌸
After our walk, we engaged in a creative activity, designing fall decorations, including scarecrows, in observance of National Creative Day.🍁🍂

Today was a thoroughly enjoyable day at our outing to Olive Garden! We enjoyed great conversation, savoring good food and celebrating a birthday for one of our residents!
The sense of camaraderie among everyone was genuinely warming and heartfelt. Our server's service was outstanding too! ❤️

The Saturday car show hosted by Caretta was a resounding success, with The Piston Pounders, The Coulee Classics, and other community members proudly displaying their prized cars for residents, families, and the community to admire.
Residents greatly appreciated the opportunity to engage with car owners and share their own experiences with similar vehicles.
Caretta also featured an amazing performance by Abby Lane, who played outside for the community.

Friday's activities at Caretta included residents making pudding pies in various flavors, including chocolate, vanilla, and the favored butterscotch. Whisking the pudding was met with laughter and giggles.

The day started with a dynamic drum ball session, featuring the renowned Michael Jackson song "Just Beat it".

Caretta in Holmen hosted the Grumpy Old Men Big Band, whose music echoed throughout the building.
Residents who had previously played instruments looked back on fond memories, sharing their experiences and stories.

The residents took a day trip to the Trempealeau National Wildlife Refuge. They watched a fascinating presentation on birds native to the refuge. Afterwards, they took a short hike to the observation deck, where they observed ducks, pelicans, and monarch butterflies.

What a great way to spend the day. Participating in Simon says and playing cornhole(bags) was enjoyable. Bingo was also a huge hit! Everyone had a blast. Lots of laughs were had by all!!

Today's outing to Senior Villa was a resounding success, with residents delighting in the tasty chips and salsa. 🫔🌮
The opportunity for socialization was particularly appreciated, as everyone enjoyed engaging in stimulating conversations.
Furthermore, some residents took pleasure in Senior Villa's signature Margaritas.

Our field trip to the International Friendship Gardens at Riverside Park in Lacrosse proved to be a highly enjoyable experience.
The residents were particularly fond of the diverse array of flowers and gardens. Some of the gardens showcased the cultures of Germany and Ireland. 🪻🌺⛲️
The residents also observed fish in the pond and admired the beautiful flowers. The exceptional the view of the Mississippi River sparked conversations regarding fishing and boating past adventures. 🛶🚣🐟🎣
